Since the theft of SAFE’s van, the team has been fundraising for a new van. Between insurance, sponsors and donations, SAFE has successful raised $16,000 but needs another $4,000 to buy a decent vehicle. Your donation can buy a tyre, wiper, car horn, brake light or even the new alarm!
Encourage your friends to match your donation! Lets have a little fun making the coolest van in the land helping animals! SAFE's van is essential as it is used by the campaigns team for setting up stalls, festivals and transporting its volunteers to demonstrations, actions and events.

Thanks to generous support of SAFE supporters, sponsors and the insurance payout SAFE has raised $16,000.
The van the Auckland team has been offered will cost $20,000 so we are still needing a further $4,000.

Thanks for the offer guys!!
It's looks a little un-roadworthy for our liking nor does it look like it has any seats (or engine for that matter come to think of it!)
While it's fortunate we already have new seats, doors and wipers we think we can do a little better than this old bag of bones!
We recommend it remains an off-road vehicle for the local sheep and moo cow population. Surely they will have some fun scattering a few farmers around the fields!!

Look out thieves, we're set to be wired!
AVS Car Security have kindly agreed to donate and install a top of the line vehicle security system which includes immobilisers, central locking and even movement sensors to protect the rear of new van from backing into things!
Thanks so much Rachael and Kevin. You guys are awesome!

Over 20 SAFE volunteers headed to Papatoetoe in the weekend to demonstrate outside the Loritz Circus in support of Jumbo, an aging African elephant. Jumbo has been forced to live in a tiny trailer and remain on her own for over 30 years.
With no van, the innovated yet determined team relied on alternative means to get the campaign gear there!

.... but thanks to you the parts are racing in!!!
Tyres, wipers, keys and now the main two doors!! What's the next tick?
You guys rock! Thanks so much for your support and praise.
Have a great weekend.
The SAFE team :)

A callous thief has left Auckland's animal crusaders without wheels to make their stand on. Joseph Barratt reports.
Down a quiet driveway off a busy inner-city road, two faded white lines mark the spot where a van used to be parked.

Awesome work guys!
In just one day we have a swanky new set of tyres to get us moving! Brilliant!
Thanks so much guys! Great job.
What's next off the list!

First tyres and now the wipers are ticked off . . . . in the same day. Fantastic.
At this rate the SAFE team will be rustling up a van before no time!!! ;)
