Torrential rains caused massive mudslides in the Sacred Valley of Peru. The community of Lamay, where Peruvian Hearts feeds hundreds of schoolchildren each day, has been damaged from flooding. Crops have been destroyed, and homes have collapsed. There is an immediate need for food and blankets to help the thousands of homeless and those with limited resources.
In the remote village of Pampallacta, where Peruvian Hearts feeds more children, a bridge along the road to the village has been washed out and has left the community isolated. Once an access route has been established, the need for provisions and support will be extremely high
