I'm doing the Auckland Half Marathon, and the Lake Taupo Cycle Challenge in November to raise money for Diabetes Youth Wellington!

Auckland

Hi everyone, this November I intend on completing the Auckland Half Marathon, and the Lake Taupo Cycle Challenge, a 160km bike ride around Lake Taupo. These events are inherently difficult, but are made more so given that I have Type 1 diabetes. However, they are not impossible. I want to show others who have Type 1 diabetes that their goals are achievable by completing these events on behalf of Diabetes Youth Wellington, an organization that has done so much for me, and does so much for many others. They organize camps for young people with Type 1 diabetes, which I have been privileged enough to attend, among other things that promote a sense of community and support for young people and their families in the Wellington region who are faced with the daily challenges that Type 1 diabetes brings. Please help me, help them by donating as much as you can to this cause. Every little bit counts!

I have Type 1 diabetes, and Diabetes Youth Wellington has been a huge part of helping me deal with it and allowing me to support others who have it.
