Go green for Cerebral Palsy this October!

Nationwide

October is Be Green & Be Seen month!

Coinciding with World Cerebral Palsy Day on 6 October, this is the month to show your support for people living with Cerebral Palsy.

Join Kiwis across Aotearoa hosting a green-themed day - the international colour for Cerebral Palsy - to celebrate, to embrace diversity, and to help advocate for a more accessible future for everyone.

Get creative and go green for a day to encourage donations:

- Host a workplace green morning tea - think spirulina smoothies and green cupcakes!

- Have a 'wear green' casual Friday, mufti day, or dress up as your favourite green movie character

- Hold a fun Green quiz with your friends or colleagues

- Host a Green Shirt fashion show. Participants vote for their favourite!

- Create green-themed art and host a raffle auction

- Start a face-painting competition for children

- Decorate your office or letterbox in green

By making a donation, you're supporting the Cerebral Palsy Society of New Zealand to help people with CP live life to the full, through funding programmes that promote active participation and social inclusion.

There are many reasons why being seen is important to those living with Cerebral Palsy and those who love and support them.

The good and the bad of Cerebral Palsy can only change or be celebrated if we allow achievements to be shared and difficulties to be noted.

Change starts with conversations and conversations start by being seen.

Let’s get together and Be Green & Be Seen!

About us

We're the Cerebral Palsy Society of NZ, the only charity in New Zealand dedicated to helping people living with Cerebral Palsy reach their highest potential and have more independence, freedom and choice.

Use of funds

Your generosity will go towards the Society's 'getProgramme’ - funding support towards transport, counselling, equipment, exercise and everyday essentials for people with Cerebral Palsy; as well as vital advisory services and social connection events.

A huge thank you to all our Be Green & Be Seen supporters! You ran, wheeled, dressed up green, baked cakes, held mufti days, raised awareness and raised funds. Many more donations came through via our fundraising bank account, and we are tallying the impressive total!
