We’ve chosen two charities that you can generously contribute to: Unicef and kidscan!
Unicef:
There is a major famine epidemic in Africa that needs urgent attention. An estimated 12 million people are on the verge of starvation due to lack of rain over two consecutive seasons, escalating food prices and conflict in Somalia. It’s being described as the worst drought in 60 years and the first famine of the 21st century.
Kidscan:
Unfortunately in New Zealand thousands of children live their lives in extreme poverty, going without the basics most of us take for granted, this has a major impact on their ability to learn and grow.
We have called our sponsorship group operation run because we are going to run kilometres in order to fundraise for the less fortunate.
