Please help Graeme (Daisy) Day!
Havelock North, Hawke's Bay
We need your help!
Graeme Day (affectionately known as Daisy), is currently facing a formidable battle against stage 4 pancreatic cancer.
Graeme has dedicated an incredible 52 years of his life to serving our community tirelessly as a Fire Fighter in Titahi Bay, Porirua & Hawkes Bay.
Not only has Graeme dedicated his career to serving the community, he is also a loving and supportive husband, father, grandad, brother, uncle and friend to many.
Despite being a healthy and fit non-smoker, Graeme has unfortunately been struck by cancer for the third time. Likely caused during his firefighting duties but unfortunately declined by ACC as NZ does not recognise the link to pancreatic cancer and the fire service, even though other larger countries do.
We have an opportunity to access specialised treatment overseas in Mexico, https://www.sanoviv.com who offer a much wider range of treatments and provide more optimism than anything available in NZ.
However, the cost of treatment is substantial and Graeme and his family are in urgent need of financial assistance to afford this care. We are reaching out to our community, friends, and supporters to join us in this cause.
Graeme wants nothing more than to live longer and to continue cherishing moments with his family and friends.
Please consider donating to support Graeme in his fight against pancreatic cancer. Any amount big or small will help to make this a reality.
Graeme is my besties, Sheree Flanders, Dad who has adopted me into their family as one of their own who means a great deal to me and my family.
We wish to give Graeme treatments in Mexico (https://www.sanoviv.com) that are not available in NZ - for a longer life.
